Role: FinOps Administrator Banking Category: Administrative Location: Claremont
Salary: R350 000 R450 000 Per Annum

Join a dynamic Finance Operations team responsible for the financial controls across a LISP, Life Company, CIS Manco, and retirement funds. This permanent position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to operational excellence and ensure regulatory compliance in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as an authorised releaser of local and international payments.
  • Review bank reconciliations and assist in resolving reconciling items.
  • Review Manco unit reconciliations and help resolve any differences.
  • Escalate concerns or potential issues to the FinOps Team Leader.
  • Perform AML reviews received from fund managers and the management company.
  • Oversee tax reporting, including reviewing PAYE reconciliations and ensuring tax submissions to SARS.
  • Resolve day-to-day operational queries effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers.
  • Support audit processes and resolve audit queries within set deadlines.
  • Stay abreast of developments in industry, legislation, and best practices to grow your professional expertise.
    Qualifications & Experience:

    • BCom Honours or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in financial services, ideally in financial operations within a LISP or Manco.
    • Strong understanding of financial systems, data structures, and investment products.
    • Experience working with reconciliations, tax submissions, and AML compliance.

        Technical Competencies:

        • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
        • Experience working with SQL to query data is advantageous.
