Description:

The Regional Technical Manager will support the MHZA Team by driving initiatives in the region to successfully execute the strategy. Deliver technical trainings and services to distributors and strategic end users, help with cross referencing, drive and execute audit/surveys for strategic customers mainly in the mining and construction segments.

Main Responsibilities:

· Supporting the sales department in servicing and maintaining existing customers (by telephone and/or in personal contact with travel activities)

· Presentation of the products both from a technical point of view and from a sales perspective

· Provide technical support to the sales team and customers. On-site visits, start-ups, supervise pilot projects and trials.

· Technical support including basic design of our elements for sales team and customers

· Research regarding possible revenue generation (e.g. tenders, competitor replacement, replacement/service with existing customers, etc.)

· Researching project-specific details in the project award phase (e.g. competition situation)

· Maintain positive long-term relationships with Customers / distributors / dealers / end users through customer visits and providing consultation and technical services and support on M+H filtration brands.

· Provide regularly written reports about his/her activities

· Manage the day-to-day operational activities for customers.

· Support Sales Team with their technical needs

· Handle customer complaints/product returns/warranties

· Conduct seminars, exhibitions, product trainings/workshops for distributors/dealers, OEM, consultant and end users.

· Working hand in hand with the sales team members, Product Managers and Technical Team for new pilots, development of new products suiting the regional requirement and applications and providing design support.

· Travel and attend client meetings to support Sales Managers as and when needed and not limited to a particular sector, area or region.

· Assume sales responsibility for a particular assigned customer base.

· Demonstrated maturity and professionalism in handling workplace responsibilities

· Strong understanding of business cases with the ability to interpret and present them effectively

· Strategic thinker with the ability to align tasks and decisions with broader business goals

· Skilled in gathering and connecting various pieces of information to form logical conclusions

· Ability to translate complex or technical data into clear, understandable, and actionable insights

Requirements:

  • Microsoft Office
  • Presentation Skills
  • Sap

· Minimum, a university degree in engineering is required

· Experience: Min. 10 years’ experience in technical service environment in filtration and/or engines

· Understanding of customer needs, both stated and unarticulated.

· Strong understanding of the Mining & OHI segment

· Experience in maintaining Fleet of engines and driving cost reduction initiatives, with an emphasis on TCO.

· A clear understanding of MANN+HUMMEL’s vision, values, and strategies.

· A thorough knowledge of applicable products, services and capabilities.

· A forward thinking, customer-focused, creative mind.

· Ability to react and build consensus quickly.
