General duties and responsibilities:Budgeting and Forecasting:
Developing and managing budgets, forecasting financial performance, and analysing variances.
Reporting:
Preparing regular financial reports for management and other stakeholders, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Financial Analysis:
Analysing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential problems.
Cost Control:
Monitoring and controlling company expenses to improve financial efficiency and profitability.
Capital Expenditure Planning:
Assisting with planning and approval of capital expenditures. Specific to returns
Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Professional Certification: A professional accounting qualification, such as a Chartered Accountant (CA) or a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), is often preferred. Experience: Several years of experience in accounting and financial management. Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Accpac, excel advanced, experience working with BI), financial modelling, and data analysis tools. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse financial data, identify trends, and develop solutions to financial problems. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Objectives of this role:
Develop strategies to reduce costs and study product pricing to ensure the best possible return on investment for the company. Prepare budgeting reports by collecting information and data points from various departments within the organisation. Investigate discrepancies in financial records and perform reconciliations.
