Call Centre Sales Consultant

Purpose of the Job:

Responsible for contacting potential clients, assessing their financial needs, and offering debt counselling solutions. This role involves both inbound and outbound sales, lead follow-ups, and maintaining strong customer relationships while guiding clients toward financial stability.


Responsibilities:

Contact prospective clients via phone, email, or other communication channels.
Explain the benefits and process of debt counselling clearly and persuasively.
Conduct basic financial assessments to determine client eligibility for debt review.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions and update CRM systems accordingly.
Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
Provide exceptional after-sales support and follow-ups.
Stay updated on industry regulations and debt counselling policies (e.g., National Credit Act).
Handle objections and address client concerns in a professional manner.
Collaborate with other departments (e.g., compliance, admin) to ensure smooth onboarding of clients.

Requirements:

Experience and Education:

Matric / National Senior Certificate
Registered Debt Counsellor (advantageous)
Insurance industry experience


Competency Skills and Knowledge

Proven experience in sales (preferably in debt counselling, financial services, or call centre).
Strong communication and negotiation skills – both written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets.
Basic understanding of debt counselling, credit reports, and financial hardship solutions
Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility, and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility.
Possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills while using good judgement.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
Proficient in English & Afrikaans.
The ability to work independently.
