Description:
A reputable and well-established engineering consultancy company is looking for an experienced Accountant / Bookkeeper with strong financial acumen and attention to detail to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, financial reporting, reconciliations, and general administrative duties within the finance department.
Responsibilities:

Perform general accounting and bookkeeping tasks including billing forecasts, invoicing, and statements.

Manage and report on debtors and collections.
-
Handle petty cash and credit card allocations and monthly reconciliations.
-
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with general office administration.
-
Provide support to the Financial Manager with finance-related duties.
Requirements:

Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping.
-
Minimum of 3 years’ relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience.

Experience using accounting or project management software and ERP systems.
-
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word (intermediate level).

Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.
-
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Capable of handling audits, resolving conflicts, and working in a team environment.
