Financial Controller or Professional Accountant (SA) to
join their finance team and contribute to their continued success.
Role Overview
This position is ideal for an experienced Professional Accountant (SA) or Financial Controller who can independently manage accounting functions with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting financial reporting processes. Intercompany accounting is involved but not complex.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records and transactions in compliance with accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and budgets.
• Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather financial data and provide insights.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies.
Desirable Attributes
• Experience in the technology solutions industry (preferred but not required).
• Familiarity with cloud-based accounting systems.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
Requirements:
Qualifications and Experience• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Registered Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of South African tax laws and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
