Job Title: Business Development Manager – Floor Cleaning & Handling Equipment
Location: Johannesburg
A leading Industrial Equipment / B2B Capital Sales company is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager – Floor Cleaning & Handling Equipment with strong experience in capital equipment sales, preferably forklifts, cleaning machines or related industrial equipment to join their team in Johannesburg . This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute Business Development Manager to drive growth across new lines by identifying potential customers, conducting product demonstrations and recommending application-specific solutions, and closing deals. If you have experience in capital equipment sales and an entrepreneurial mindset, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed market analysis to identify potential customers, market segments, competitors, and growth opportunities.
- Proactively identify and engage potential customers in warehousing, logistics, industrial, and commercial sectors.
- Drive full-cycle B2B sales from lead generation to closing deals.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to build market share across both product categories.
- Build a robust sales pipeline and deliver consistently against set revenue targets.
- Collaborate with internal technical, service, and operational teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and long-term satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in capital equipment sales, preferably forklifts, cleaning machines or related industrial equipment.
- Strong technical aptitude with proven ability to conduct product demonstrations and recommend application-specific solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and drive sales growth in untapped or competitive markets.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the resilience and initiative required to build new business streams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel nationally as required.
