OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:
The role involves providing robust strategic, professional, and managerial leadership for all health service operations at the designated Hospital. This includes executing the operations strategy, monitoring and enhancing operational performance, and ensuring effective facilities management. The position carries the authority and responsibility for the safe and efficient delivery of daily clinical services and departmental functions within the Hospital.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Collaborate on the creation and execution of the Hospital's strategic operational plan, ensuring alignment with the broader HOSPITAL Group strategy while actively participating in management team decisions and corporate governance. - Foster strong relationships with the CEO, CFO, and HOSPITAL Group Executive, as well as external health service providers, to enhance the patient experience and ensure effective service delivery. - Analyze market conditions and identify growth opportunities for new specialists, while developing strategies to enhance brand loyalty and manage operational budgets effectively.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Educational Qualifications & Experience)
Experience in the Healthcare sector.
• Minimum of 5 years' or more in progressive leadership experience as a senior Manager
within a Healthcare environment.
• Minimum diploma or degree (at least NQF Level 7 or equivalent) preferably in business or health services management/ relevant to health service sector.
• Relevant post-graduate qualification/ MBA preferable in relevant field preferred.
• Experience of clinical and/or corporate governance.
• Experience in project management
• Financial management
SKILLS (Practical & Technical)
- In-depth understanding of current issues, trends, and best practices in hospital policy and service delivery. - Extensive experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in senior management roles. - Proven track record of driving service innovation and influencing change. - Effective leadership demonstrated in challenging environments, with a focus on motivating specialized teams. - Strong operational performance orientation, with the ability to navigate complex organizational performance systems and proactively recommend improvements.
