Job Description:My client is looking for an experienced Operations Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This role services the Urban Region (Western Cape), covering: Paarl, Wellington, Stellenbosch, Simondium, Sitari, Kraaifontein, Durbanville, Philippi, Franschhoek, St Helena Bay, Vredenburg, Malmesbury, Moorreesburg and Riebeeck West. Key Responsibilities:- You will oversee the financial and administrative functions of the Urban Trade Region.
- Monitoring and reporting on financial performance
- Supporting the regional manager with strategic and operational insights
- Ensuring accurate and timely monthly reporting
- Driving improvements in processes and systems
- Supporting annual budgets and feasibility assessments
- Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance
- Ensure stock counts are done and variances are reported accurately
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (BCom) or CIMA qualification
- 4+ years’ relevant experience in a financial/operations accounting role
- Strong systems knowledge with advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
- Proven ability to travel to multiple branches as required
- A self-starter with analytical acumen and strong stakeholder management skills
- Sound judgment in complex environments
- Results-driven with a high achievement orientation
- Self-aware with a strong sense of ownership
- Own transport is a non-negotiable requirement.
