Description:

    • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our client. The Maintenance Fitter is responsible for the inspection, repair, and preventative maintenance of hydraulic rubber injection presses and associated
      equipment. This role is key to minimising downtime, maintaining equipment efficiency, and supporting production targets in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on hydraulic rubber injection presses.

  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, mechanical, and basic electrical faults.

  • Inspect and maintain hydraulic systems, including pumps, valves, cylinders, and hoses.

  • Conduct mechanical tasks such as seal replacements, bearing changes, alignment, and lubrication.

  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and hydraulic circuit diagrams.

  • Accurately log all maintenance jobs, time spent, findings, and corrective actions into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

  • Record all parts usage and ensure spares are properly issued in and out of the CMMS stock system.

  • Monitor and report low stock levels of critical spares to avoid unplanned downtime.



Qualifications:
- Fitter or Millwright Trade Test
- Minimum of 3 years post-trade experience as a Fitter or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
- Knowledge of Rubber industry such as rubber hydraulic injection press
- Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
