The client is seeking a highly capable Financial Controller to oversee financial operations across all companies within their group. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring robust financial management, statutory compliance, and strategic reporting, that supports effective decision-making at the highest levels..As a Financial Controller, you will:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance department and ensure the effective use of staff and financial resources. Ensure full compliance with all statutory financial, accounting, and control requirements. Manage external audit processes and maintain appropriate audit arrangements. Produce accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations, including banks, debtors, creditors, and inter-company accounts. Enforce finance policies, procedures, and systems across all teams. Prepare and submit annual financial statements aligned with South African legal requirements. Deliver monthly management and financial reports to internal teams and the Board of Directors. Support and collaborate on the annual budgeting process with the Group Financial Manager. Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and ensure effective cash management. Analyze financial reports, comparing actuals to budget, and identify corrective actions where necessary. Assist with provisional and year-end tax calculations. Take on any reasonable finance or accounting tasks as required by management.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Relevant BCom in a financial qualification preferred CaseWare experience required Minimum 5 years' experience Good analytical skills and communication skills Experience in a leadership role advantageous
