Description:

Our client, a well-established leader in the Electronic Telecommunications sector, is seeking a Pre-Sales Engineer with a strong background in System Integration to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals with a minimum of 3 to 4 years of pre-sales experience in the Electronic or Telecommunication industry.

Overview:
Responsible for supporting the sales infrastructure, ensuring that the clients reasonable requests are attended to timeously, enhancing the quality of the system designs, descriptions and bill of equipment with suppliers for the Digital Broadcast Systems (Satellite, Cable, Terrestrial, OTT and IPTV systems).

The Pre-sales engineer will work in the Pre-Sales division and will support the sales team in designing network connectivity solutions, proposals and tender responses for current and potential customers. The role demands the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements:
B-Tech Diploma or BEng Degree in Electronics or similar 34 years of proven pre-sales system integration experience in the Electronic Telecommunication industry Solid understanding of Digital Broadcast Systems (Satellite, Cable, Terrestrial, OTT, and IPTV) Ability to design network connectivity solutions and prepare technical proposals Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with clients Reside in or near Pretoria for convenient office access and client engagement Excellent knowledge of:
IT systems IP switch configuration Networking Windows Server configuration SQL databases IP multicast/unicast Experience with IP connectivity networks Knowledge of MPEG2/4/HEVC encoding and multiplexing Understanding of DVB specifications and standards Advanced skills in IP routing, switching, and troubleshooting Strong analytical and technical skills High attention to detail Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects Willingness to work after hours to meet tender deadlines Responsibilities:
Support the sales infrastructure by providing timely technical responses to client requests Assist the sales team with system design, network solutions, tender responses, and proposal development Engage with suppliers to obtain accurate bill of equipment and technical documentation Work closely with internal departments to enhance the quality of system descriptions and solutions Build
