Description:
An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced Geologist to join a mining operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and reporting geological features within the pit to support efficient and safe mining processes. Minimum Requirements:- BSc Honours / BTech / Advanced Diploma in Geology
- At least 3 years’ relevant geological experience in mining
- Knowledge of coal exploration for opencast operations
- Experience in in-pit and stockyard grade control
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- Strong analytical abilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
- Professional registration with SACNASP and/or GSSA membership
- Experience in opencast and/or underground mining production
- Familiarity with geological databases and Minex modelling software
