Description:
Minimum Requirements:Grade 10 or equivalent (Matric preferred). Valid Excavator Operator Certificate (accredited training provider). Valid driver's license (Code 10 or higher is an advantage). Minimum 2 years of experience operating an excavator on a construction site. Knowledge of construction and safety procedures. Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments. Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception. Ability to read and interpret site plans and instructions. Strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate excavators (tracked or wheeled) to perform earthworks and material handling. Conduct daily inspection and routine maintenance of the machine (e.g., oil levels, tire/track condition). Follow site instructions and project specifications. Load and unload materials and move earth, rocks, and other materials as required. Ensure proper levelling, trenching, and grading using the machine. Monitor machine performance and report defects or necessary repairs. Maintain a safe working environment and comply with health and safety regulations. Cooperate with other workers and site supervisors.
