Job Purpose
This role is responsible for leasing properties within the commercial portfolio, securing optimal occupancy, and maximizing rental income. The Leasing Manager plays a key role in shaping and executing strategic letting plans, maintaining high levels of tenant satisfaction, and ensuring alignment with the broader asset strategy.
This position is ideal for a commercially astute professional with a deep understanding of retail leasing, strong negotiation capabilities, and a results-driven mindset focused on income optimization and tenant engagement.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic letting plans aligned with financial performance goals and category-specific analysis.

Negotiate lease terms and renewals, ensuring market-related rentals and optimal tenant mix.

Manage lease expiries and renewals proactively; track, stagger, and document leasing actions.

Source and onboard new tenants while maintaining a waiting list of prospective lessees.

Conduct rental assessments and ensure leasing actions are thoroughly justified and documented.

Liaise with tenants, address leasing-related queries, and resolve building-related issues in collaboration with operations teams.

Analyze tenant and category performance, market research, and mall turnover trends to inform leasing decisions.

Drive non-GLA income initiatives, oversee tenant fit-outs, and manage installation contributions.

Ensure compliance with leasing policies, regulatory codes, and internal procedures.

Maintain effective interdepartmental communication and participate in cross-functional coordination.

Represent the organization in lease negotiations and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Oversee preparation and submission of leasing reports, budgets, and strategy documents.

6–10 years’ experience in commercial property leasing or retail leasing operations.

3–6 years’ experience in managing leasing teams or delivering performance within a leasing environment.
