Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Retail Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations and ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining productivity targets, ensuring accurate stock control, managing staff, and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards within a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods

Manage warehouse staff schedules, performance, and training

Maintain accurate inventory control systems, including regular stock takes and reconciliation

Implement and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times
-
Coordinate with procurement, retail outlets, and logistics teams to meet delivery timelines
-
Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs and performance metrics
-
Maintain security of the warehouse, equipment, and inventory
-
Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure proper functioning of all machinery
-
Support seasonal and promotional stock handling requirements

- Warehouse Manager: 5 to 6 years

Matric (Grade 12)

A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred

Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably within a retail or FMCG environment

Proven experience managing teams and working in high-volume warehouse settings
-
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory software, and best practices
-
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

High attention to detail and accuracy

Sound knowledge of occupational health and safety standards

Computer literate (MS Office, especially Excel; ERP systems experience advantageous)
Minimum Qualifications:
