My client in the courier and logistics industry in the Airport Industry is looking to employ a POD Clerk is responsible for handling Proof of Delivery (POD) documents and ensuring accurate record-keeping of delivered shipments. Their role is crucial in maintaining accountability, verifying deliveries, and supporting customer service and billing processes.

Requirements:

  • Logistics: 1 year or less
  • Pod Clerk: 1 year or less

Key Responsibilities of a POD Clerk:

  • Receive, verify, and process delivery documents from drivers.

  • Check that PODs are correctly signed, dated, and contain all required information (e.g., recipient name, delivery time).

  • Capture POD details into the company's tracking or logistics system.

  • Update delivery statuses for clients and internal teams.

  • Maintain organized physical or digital records of all PODs.

  • Ensure easy retrieval of documents for auditing or customer queries.

  • Respond to client queries regarding deliveries.

  • Provide copies of PODs as proof for billing or dispute resolution.

  • Communicate with drivers regarding missing or incomplete PODs.

  • Ensure timely return and processing of delivery documents.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with data entry and courier tracking systems.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Communication skills for liaising with drivers and clients.

  • Based at a courier depot or logistics office.

  • May require shift work depending on the company’s operating hours.

Key Responsibilities of a POD Clerk:

  1. Processing PODs:

    • Receive, verify, and process delivery documents from drivers.

    • Check that PODs are correctly signed, dated, and contain all required information (e.g., recipient name, delivery time).

  2. Data Entry & System Updates:

    • Capture POD details into the company's tracking or logistics system.

    • Update delivery statuses for clients and internal teams.

  3. Filing and Record Keeping:

    • Maintain organized physical or digital records of all PODs.

    • Ensure easy retrieval of documents for auditing or customer queries.

  4. Customer Service Support:

    • Respond to client queries regarding deliveries.

  5. Coordination with Drivers and Dispatch:
