Description:
Duties:- Lead and manage the estimating team, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tendering activities.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overheads.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements.
- Work closely with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather pricing information and negotiate costs.
- Develop and implement best practices and cost-control measures for estimating.
- Present estimates and tender submissions to senior management and stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, pricing, and innovations in construction methods.
- Mentor and train Junior Estimators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements:
- Civil or Quantity Surveying Degree.
- Professional registration.
- Proven experience as an Estimating/Contracts Manager or Senior Estimator within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, CostX, or similar tools).
